How We Got Our Start
Picnic started as a dream between two friends, who wanted to create a store that carried a well curated selection of goods, where every turn was surprising, magical and fun. This dream was realized in 2004 when they spotted the perfect little store front in the Russian Hill neighborhood of San Francisco.

A lot has happened since 2004; what started out as a women’s boutique, has now grown into a wonderland of treasures. An expansion from one storefront to two, in 2010, provided us with the much needed space to branch out into home furnishings, accessories and gifts.
